Bickell will play the final two games of the season and then retire, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Bickell was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November and spent a lot of time on injured reserve or in the AHL. He played nine NHL games this season, recording just one goal. Bickell was regarded as a physical player, recording over 100 hits five times in his career.
