Islanders' Ken Appleby: On waivers

Appleby was waived by the Islanders on Friday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Appleby had a 4.50 GAA and an .861 save percentage in five contests with AHL Bridgeport last season. He also recorded a 3.01 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 30 games with ECHL Worcester.
