Lightning's Gabriel Dumont: Clears waivers and off to AHL

Dumont cleared waivers Monday and will report to AHL Syracuse's training camp, reports Joe Smith of The Athletic.

Dumont turns 31 on Wednesday and has just 90 NHL games under his belt -- and just three since 2017-18. Dumont will be ready to drop everything if the call to the big club comes, but he likely won't make a dent offensively. He has four goals and five assists in those 90 games.
