Rangers' Chad Ruhwedel: Sent to minors

Ruhwedel was assigned to AHL Hartford on Tuesday.

Ruhwedel hasn't made an appearance with the Rangers since Oct. 19. New York only has six defensemen on its roster at the moment, so the right-shot blueliner could be recalled ahead of Friday's game against Pittsburgh if the club is accruing cap space.
