Gropp is currently riding a 14-game point scoring streak for WHL Seattle.
To be more specific, Gropp has posted 13 goals and an eye-popping 31 points over that span. A second-round pick in 2015, Gropp was eligible to play in the AHL this year, but the Rangers decided to ship him back to Seattle. He got off to a terrible start, but has played very well since the Islanders returned top prospect Mathew Barzal to the Thunderbirds. Gropp and Barzal have played on the same line for the past several seasons. The odds of Gropp reaching his ultimate ceiling remain small, but there's an outside chance he could develop into a 30-goal scorer at the NHL level.
