R.J. Umberger: Bought out by Philadelphia

As expected, Umberger was bought out by the Flyers and is now on the free-agent market.

Philadelphia will save $3 million in cap space by stretching out Umberger's contract through the buyout. The winger has been abysmal since being acquired by the Flyers via a trade, registering a paltry 26 points in two seasons with the Orange and Black. The market is certainly dwindling for the 34-year-old, but he may still find a landing spot on a young team looking for an established forward.
