Andersen has been assigned to AHL Willkes-Barre, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.Andersen spent last season with Brynas of the Swedish Hockey League, adding five goals and 17 assists in 54 games. He's known as a physical defenseman that could help out the Penguins in the coming years.
