Stars' Braden Holtby: Lands on LTIR

Holbty (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Monday, Brien Rea of Bally Sports Southwest reports.

Dallas' acquisition of Scott Wedgewood makes more sense now that Holtby is considered week-to-week and could be out for the foreseeable future. The veteran netminder hasn't played since March 4 when he stopped 39 of 42 shots against the Jets. Jake Oettinger will see most of the work while Holtby is out.
