Manny Pacquiao will cease his hill-running routine at Griffith Park, and instead will focus on improving his speed at UCLA's track.

The uphill battle is over.
Manny Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, is terminating the hill runs that Pacquiao frequently partakes in. Since the Fight of the Century was announced, Pacquiao has been spotted many mornings running the hills of Griffith Park in Los Angeles and he's often posted short video clips of those runs on his Instagram page.
Day 13 of my road work out very hard hills. thank you Lord.

But now, Roach and strength and conditioning coach, Justin Fortune, believe Pacquiao's stamina is at a satisfactory level.
"He doesn't need it anymore," Roach and Fortune said via Philboxing.com, referring to Pacquiao's hill-training regimen.
Instead, they'll aim to improve his already-blazing speed. Pacquiao will now run at UCLA's track on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays instead of running hills. He will, however, continue to run at Pan Pacific Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
"UCLA has the equipment, facilities, gadgets and other components not available elsewhere," Fortune said. "UCLA definitely compensates what Griffith cannot."
There's a different reason why Roach favors UCLA over Griffith Park: privacy.
"UCLA provides the privacy he now needs," Roach said. "There are too many distractions out there in Griffith Park as well as in the Pan Pacific Park and we have to minimize those disturbances."
Considering the boxing world has been waiting years on end for Pacquiao to finally face off against Floyd Mayweather, privacy might be an ambitious goal.
