Barcelona, fresh off winning the treble last season, is headed to the United States for its preseason, but Lionel Messi and Neymar won't be coming.

The two, who had a busy summer at the Copa America and logged tons of minutes last season, were left off the preseason roster and will join up with the team closer to the start of the regular season, which begins in late August.

Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano and Brazilian defender Dani Alves also won't make the trip after participating in the Copa America, which Chile won.

Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan star striker, is on the roster. He was suspended from the Copa America as part of his punishment for biting Giorgio Chiellini at last year's World Cup.

Barca will play three matches in the states, with the first being againt the Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The Catalan club will play Manchester United on July 25 at Levi's Stadium near San Francisco before finishing the American tour against Chelsea on July 28 in Landover, Maryland. Included in the roster is new signing Arda Turan, who signed from Atletico Madrid. The Turkish midfielder may be on his way out of Barcelona for half the season though, as the transfer ban Barcelona has means he can't debut in an official season match until January.
