WATCH LIVE: Deontay Wilder vs. Artur Szpilka on Showtime, online
For the first time ever, two heavyweight title fights will be streamed live on YouTube by Showtime when Deontay Wilder takes on Artur Szpilka on Saturday night.
Deontay Wilder (35-0-0, 34 KOs) will make his third defense of the WBC Heavyweight Championship against Artur Szpilka (20-1-0, 15 KOs) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday.
Wilder, who won the title a year ago in a brutal battle with Bermane Stiverne, will make his first defense of the title outside of his home state of Alabama -- he knocked out Eric Molina and Johann Duhaupas in Birmingham in 2015.
Szpilka has just one loss, but it came against his toughest opponent, a 10th round KO to American Bryant Jennings in 2014. Wilder (-2000) is the prohibitive favorite over Szpilka (+900) and most expect it to be another early finish for the champ. The two nearly came to blows at a recent photo opportunity when Wilder got into Szpilka's face, who retaliated with a head butt.
Also on the card is the IBF Heavyweight Championship fight between a pair of undefeated fighters in Charles Martin (22-0-1, 20 KOs) and Vyacheslav Glazkov (21-0-1, 13 KOs). The two will fight for the IBF title vacated by Tyson Fury earlier this year.
TV: The fight card will be live on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET and available as part of the Showtime free preview weekend. Even if you don't subscribe to Showtime as a part of your cable package, the channel will be open to watch this fight along with other content this weekend.
