Jason Dufner's defense of Duke's Grayson Allen tripping players actually makes sense
Allen's suspension is the topic of the day and seemingly everyone has an opinion, including Dufner
The same week in which the video of Oklahoma star Joe Mixon punching a woman was released, Duke's Grayson Allen tripping people has somehow taken over the sports world. Allen was suspended indefinitely by Duke on Thursday after he tripped a player on Wednesday night in Duke's game against Elon.
Of course, because it's 2016, literally every living human has an opinion about this, and apparently the golf world is not exempt. None other than Jason Dufner weighed in on Thursday with his take on Allen and the suspension via a series of tweets.
Tripping in hockey= 2mins in the box... tripping in basketball= suspension and you need counseling..🤔

I once tripped a friend in a foot race intentionally, so I could win the race. I apologized, we moved on with life. No counseling needed🏃🏻

He committed a foul, fine with the technical foul, even ejection from the game.. beyond that is a bit much in my opinion. #theend

"Competitive disorder".... sign me up.. I hate losing and I lose like 99% of the time at what I do..I probably need serious counseling.

I don't really have a strong opinion one way or another on this news, but I do understand where Dufner is coming from. I'm not sure there is a clear-cut correct answer when it comes to handling bizarre situations like this in sports, but it is nice to hear from a fellow athlete on the matter.
