Kenyan golfers think golf is 'easy' because of Tiger Woods
Here's a really cool story about a man from Kenya who

I read a lot of information and news about golf. Blogs, magazines, newspaper articles and longform stories on the Internet, but nothing this week has intrigued me as much as what Jeff Mwangi told Golf Digest on Friday.
Mwangi is also a reader of golf things living in Nairobi, Kenya, and here's what he wrote to our friends over at Golf Digest:
"Golf in Kenya used to be reserved for old men (rich geezers), but times have changed. Tiger Woods has been an inspiration to many young Kenyans -- who, incidentally, think that golf is an easy game. I thought so, too."
Mwangi goes on to say he would rather not disclose his handicap (feel you, my man) and has driven for many miles to get a game before. He also had to stop playing so much because it was interfering with work so much (raises hand again).
That Tiger comment though. Man, that really gets me (you should go read the whole post, by the way). We think so myopically when it comes to Woods and the PGA Tour -- most of which happens right here in the United States.
The Big Cat has affected the game on a global level though, in countries I'll never visit and with folks whose language I could never understand. The coolest part is that we won't really understand these effects for years, maybe decades.
It's a great game however, one that can travel oceans and infuse continents like Mwangi's with a passion for sport. Golf is wonderful and it is mind-blowing at times -- it is a lot of things -- but as Mwangi soon found out it is definitely not easy.
