Andy Dirks resumes baseball activities

Tigers outfielder Andy Dirks is resuming baseball activities, the Detroit News reports.

Dirks was pulled off his rehab assignment about a week ago due to back inflammation, but after a few days the team's training staff indicated he should be ready to resume his rehab this week. He has missed the entire season while recovering from March back surgery.
