Dodgers pitcher Dan Haren's pitch count ran high Wednesday against the Royals, which cost him the chance at a win.
Haren faltered in the fifth inning, finishing with 4 1/3 innings thrown on 92 pitches. He allowed four runs on five hits and a pair of walks, along with two home runs. Haren also struck out just three batters, as he settled for a no-decision in the 5-4 win.
Haren has gone winless over his last two starts, though his record still stands at 7-4. He carries a 3.83 ERA into his next outing, set for Monday against the Indians.
