Diamondbacks pitcher Josh Collmenter allowed four runs on six hits in six innings of work in Arizona's 6-0 loss to the Phillies on Sunday.
Down 2-0 in the sixth, Collmenter was trying to get out of a jam, but allowed an RBI triple to rookie Maikel Franco.
"We were battling and putting runners on and couldn't get anything across," Collmenter said to AZCentral.com. "To give them two extra runs kind of deflates everything we were trying to do up to that point."
Collmenter, now 3-5, moved his ERA to 5.36 in 47 innings of work. He will look to bounce back Friday against the Cubs.
"I thought he kept us in the game," D-backs manager Chip Hale said to MLB.com. "Early it looked like he didn't have his control, the ball wasn't moving like he wanted it to. I thought later on he started to really get it going. He had a low pitch count, which is typical of him. He was fine."
