With roster spots open due to the suspension of Melky Cabrera, the Giants recalled outfielder Justin Christian and pitcher Eric Hacker, the club announced Friday via Twitter.

Christian has played in parts of three seasons, compiling a .224/.271/.296 line in 64 games. In 22 games with the Giants this season. Christian, 32, has just a .404 OPS. Hacker, 29, has one start under his belt for San Francisco this year, a six-inning outing against the Padres in which he allowed three runs on eight hits, striking out seven.
