On Monday night, Cubs manager Joe Maddon was ejected by long-time attention-seeking umpire Joe West.

I've got more on Maddon vs. West here, but let's check out what former Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood thinks:

That was on the heels of retweeting five complaints (well, four complaints and one explanation) about West's ejection of Maddon. And let's be clear, it wasn't so much that West ejected Maddon, it was how it all went down. It was totally unnecessary to make any sort of scene and definitely didn't need to be escalated.

But, hey, that's West. He's been doing this for 40 years (yes, he broke in the NL in 1976).

Wood put a bow on his complaint with a succinct conclusion:

Kid K, still bringing the high-and-tight heat.
