Kyle Kendrick earns win despite ugly performance

Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick earned his ninth win Friday despite surrendering six earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out seven in 5 2/3 innings against the Mets. He was staked to an 11-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third and held on to move to 9-6 on the season.

Kendrick takes a 3.94 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Thursday's start against the Cardinals.
