Thursday night, Giants ace Madison Bumgarner and umpire Joe West got locked in an epic staredown thanks to a disagreement over the strike zone. Bumgarner thought West was squeezing him. Here's the video if you missed it.

West and the Giants parted ways following the game -- West went to Colorado and the Giants to Oakland for their next series -- and the veteran ump found himself at third base for Friday's Rockies-Dodgers game at Coors Field (COL 7, LA 4).

In the very first inning, Jimmy Rollins smacked a triple and slid into third base safely. West called him safe, but Rollins decided to have a little fun and locked into a mock staredown with West, a la Bumgarner. Check it out:

I've watched an embarrassing amount of baseball in my life and I can't ever remember seeing Joe West smile. So good job, Jimmy. Baseball's supposed to be fun.

By the way, Bumgarner and the Giants lost to the Athletics on Friday (OAK 5, SF 4) and were eliminated from wild-card contention. The Dodgers have a magic number of two to clinch the NL West title.
