RUMORS & SPECULATION

Brewers: Jon Heyman tweets that there's not much activity when it comes to any possible trade involving OF Ryan Braun.

Diamondbacks: May be trying to trade a second baseman in order to make room for a Howie Kendrick signing. (Bob Nightengale via Twitter)

Indians: May have some interest in free agent 3Bs David Freese and Juan Uribe. (Ken Rosenthal via Twitter)

Nationals: Ken Rosenthal reports that the Nationals have made a five-year offer to free agent OF Yoenis Cespedes. While the Mets and White Sox surely remain interested, it's uncertain whether they're willing to compete with a five-year deal. Per Rosenthal, the Mets won't go beyond three years.

SIGNINGS & AGREEMENTS

Angels: Avoided arbitration with SP Garrett Richards by signing him to a $6.425 million contract for 2016.

Astros: Signed P Wandy Rodriguez to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Cubs: Signed INF Munenori Kawasaki to a minor-league contract.

Giants: Signed C George Kottaras to a minor-league contract.

Orioles: Made 1B Chris Davis' seven-year, $161 million contract official.

Rays: Have reportedly agreed to terms with OF/1B Steve Pearce on a one-year contract.

White Sox: Signed RP Matt Albers to a one-year contract for $2.55 million. The deal also includes an option for 2017.

MISCELLANY

National League: MLB commissioner Rob Manfred says the NL could have the DH as soon as 2017.

Yankees: CL Aroldis Chapman will not face criminal charges for his alleged October domestic violence incident.
