An MRI on Padres pitcher Clayton Richard revealed an inflamed bursa sac, but a clean shoulder joint.
Richard hit the disabled list Saturday, after leaving Friday's game with the injury. He received a cortisone shot in his shoulder. Richard has no timetable for his recovery at this time. He had a 7.01 ERA through 52 2/3 innings prior to the injury.
