Orioles pitcher Jason Garcia is battling to make the major-league roster this spring. If Sunday was any indication, he's got a good chance.
"He got a couple of our guys from the bench up to the top step," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said.
Garcia threw a perfect inning with two strikeouts in the team's intrasquad scrimmage Sunday.
"It felt good. It's what you work for, throwing against those guys," Garcia said, who has never pitched above the Triple-A level. "Definitely it was a thrill. Pretty nervous out there, but it was awesome."
