Pirates first baseman/outfielder Corey Hart resumed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday. Serving as the designated hitter, Hart went 0 for 4 in his first game action since suffering a setback in mid-July. Hart has been on the disabled list due to a shoulder injury since June 24, but he began experiencing knee discomfort during his initial rehab stint.
It is not yet known when Hart will be able to return to the Pirates, though he could be a possible contributor down the stretch as they head towards the postseason.
