The Red Sox were the busiest team at the Winter Meetings in Day 2, with the big move coming when they landed lefty ace Chris Sale in a trade with the White Sox.

Sale has finished in the top five of AL Cy Young voting four consecutive years and joins a rotation with two Cy Young winners in David Price and Rick Porcello. There's good rotation depth there as well as the top offense in baseball from 2016. Sure, replacing Big Papi with Mitch Moreland means the offense takes a hit, but overall this Red Sox team looks pretty loaded for 2017.

Let's check in with Yankees general manager Brian Cashman:

Might the Red Sox be eyeing the MLB record for wins in the regular season? It's 116. After winning 93 last season, it's hard to see them being that much better.

Appreciate the gamesmanship from Cashman here, though. Hyping up your opponent while deep down looking forward to taking them out is a time-honored tradition in sports -- even if it seems a little odd coming from the "Evil Empire."
