Celtics rookie Marcus Smart suffers ankle sprain and bone bruise
Boston rookie Marcus Smart had to be taken off the court on a stretcher on Friday. He'll be out 2-3 weeks.

UPDATE: The initial timetable is two to three weeks, per the team, which is a relief.
Celtics guard Marcus Smart underwent an MRI last night at New England Baptist Hospital and results confirmed a left ankle sprain with bone bruising. He is expected to be out for the next two to three weeks.

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart sufferred an apparent ankle injury on Friday early in the fourth quarter against the Indiana Pacers. The rookie appeared to be in serious pain, and was taken off the court on a stretcher. While his teammates surrounded him, the fans at the TD Garden chanted his name.
