Clippers set to trade Chris Paul to Rockets and NBA Twitter is imploding with memes
David Stern hasn't had an opportunity to veto this one yet but some fans have questions about this
For the second time Wednesday morning, Twitter exploded. After news of Phil Jackson's firing wasn't enough, it was reported that Chris Paul is on his way to Houston after telling the Clippers that he would sign to the Rockets in free agency. Paul duly opted in and was traded, with the Clippers getting plenty of value back with a return of Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker and a 2018 first-round pick from the Rockets.

Naturally NBA Twitter took the news and meme'd the hell out of it, with people questioning the fit and getting some jokes off in the process.

There was even some good-natured ribbing about Paul's loyalty as well as some wondering if it would even be enough.

Paul is leaving a good amount of money on the table for what will likely act as an experimental year but none of that matters right now. What does matter? We get to see the Point God and James Harden run a Mike D'Antoni offense for at least a year. Go ahead and sign me up.
