Damian Lillard continues MVP campaign, hits winner in OT vs. Nuggets
Portland turned to Lillard when they needed a bucket at the end of overtime
As usual, Dame Time was on time for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Capping another amazing performance, Damian Lillard scored the winning basket in overtime to give the Blazers the 115-113 victory against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, and it was a thing of beauty. He finished with 37 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Picked up in a mismatch by Kenneth Faried, Lillard drove right past the big man and swished a floater. And as is his habit after hitting big shots, Lillard celebrated by gesturing to his wrist, reminding everyone what time it is.
Lillard rallied Portland from an eight-point deficit with 50 seconds left in regulation. The Nuggets helped with two costly turnovers and a handful of missed free throws, which set the stage for Lillard to score on a lob pass out of a timeout.

Lillard has been dominant in the early going, averaging 34 points while shooting 54.5 percent overall AND from 3-point range. Clearly, his MVP campaign is going quite well.
