Eye on Basketball Podcast: Lakers criticism coming from inside
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson's criticism of the Lakers, the potential Blazers' issues, and our ideal West playoff match-ups.
Matt Moore joins me for this episode to discuss the crumbling of the current Los Angeles Lakers from within. Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson have been quite critical of Jim Buss and the current regime, and we have a report that Bryant isn't interested in playing for Mike D'Antoni next season. What is going on with the Lakers and what are the reasons they've declined going after Phil Jackson for two straight years? How quickly will they be able to become a powerhouse again?
Then we start worrying about the Portland Trail Blazers. The LaMarcus Aldridge injury (out two games) seems to be coming at a time in which the Blazers are struggling to stay in the homecourt advantage territory for the first round. Has their bench given them enough? Did they curse themselves by tweeting to the Indiana Pacers they'd see them in the Finals? Who should be the backup point guard with Mo Williams out for two weeks?
We discuss all of this, plus the West playoff matchups, the power of agents, and preview tonight's games.
