Rockets and Warriors GMs debate Curry vs. Harden for MVP
Warriors GM Bob Meyers drops a bomb on Daryl Morey citing the Warriors' success vs. Houston this season in considering the MVP debate.

At the Sloan Sports Analytic Conference in Boston Saturday, one of the closing panels featured agent Arn Tellem, Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey, and Warriors GM Bob Meyers, among others. Someone asked Morey and Meyers to weigh in on the MVP debate between Rockets guard James Harden and Warriors guard Stephen Curry. It got funny.
Morey: without Harden, we'd be nowhere. No one is doing what he is. Myers: We have better record & we beat the Rockets 4 times. #SSAC15

And then...
Morey and Myers have fun debate as to who's the MVP: Harden or Curry. Tellem steps in "Russ Westbrook is better than both of them." (laughs)

The level to which the Warriors have owned the Rockets is notable, though that of course shouldn't actually effect the debate. Otherwise the Hawks could say that Jeff Teague should win it since the Hawks beat the Warriors.
Still, entertaining to hear the perspectives, and the shot at beating Morey's team. GMs are more competitive than they're often said to be.
