With the Heat backed to a wall in Game 1 following three Paul George free throws with 2.2 seconds left, the four-time MVP answered the call.
With George overplaying just slightly, LeBron James attacked the rim and was able to get the ball on the glass to beat the buzzer, 103-102. The bucket gave LeBron 30 points, along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, his ninth career playoff triple-double.
Inexplicably missing from the picture as LeBron finished? Seven-foot-two rim protector Roy Hibbert, who was on a bench. And get this: This play happened right after LeBron had gone to the rim on the other side just a few seconds earlier to put Miami up two, with again, Hibbert on the bench.
Gentlemen, start your second-guessing.
Miami leads 1-0.
