Miami Heat forward Luol Deng has been a revelation in the playoffs. In four games against the Charlotte Hornets, he has averaged 18.4 points on 54 percent shooting, including 52 percent on 3-pointers. He was the biggest reason the Heat won the first two games at home, and he was solid in their two losses on the road.

In Wednesday's Game 5, Deng only went 1-for-4 from deep in the first half -- how disappointing -- but he still managed to make an impact. As a part of Miami's 12-3 run in the second quarter, he threw down a filthy dunk in traffic:

You don't think of Deng as a high flier, just like you don't think of him as a marksman. In these playoffs, though, he has done whatever the Heat have needed. At halftime, Deng has 11 points on 3-for-7 shooting and Miami trails 49-47.

Also: Do the Hornets need a rim protector or what? Yikes.
