Wesley Matthews: 'I think I'm the best 2-way 2-guard in the NBA'
Blazers guard Wesley Matthews also thinks he should be on the All-Defensive team.

Portland Trail Blazers swingman Wesley Matthews said that, while he doesn't get the credit he deserves, he thinks he's the best two-way shooting guard in the league. From the Columbian's Erik Gunderson:
"I'm never going to be the type that gets gaudy numbers to make an All-Defensive team," said Matthews before getting to his case.
"Do I think I'm All-Defense? Absolutely. I think I'm the best two-way two-guard in the NBA. But I feel like we need to be a good defensive team within the scheme of the game. We're not out there gambling, trying to reach and get steals. That would put us in a bind if I don't get it," Matthews said.
Now that's confidence. But is he correct in his self-assessment? Matthews is certainly solid on both ends, a versatile and strong defender who stretches the floor and rarely takes bad shots. He earned some attention for the way he stuck to Houston Rockets star James Harden in the first round of the playoffs last season. Still, I'm not sure I'd call him the best two-way player at his position. I'll submit the following names for consideration: Dwyane Wade, Lance Stephenson and Arron Afflalo. And we know what Klay Thompson's agent thinks about this.
