Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann, who tore his Achilles tendon in Week 2, has begun on-field work and is ahead of schedule in his rehab, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“We’re excited about his progress to this point," coach Mike Smith told the paper. "Kroy has been running on the field. When I say running, I mean he’s working on the field. So that’s a positive.”
