Montee Ball finishes in the red in losing effort

Broncos running back Montee Ball simply couldn't get it going on the ground Thursday, in a 27-20 loss to the Chargers in Week 15.

Ball, who broke out with 77 yards on 15 carries last week, lost yards Thursday. He rushed the ball just three times for -1 yards, though he did have a solid day through the air. He hauled in all four passes thrown his way for 44 yards, the best receiving game of his season.

Ball entered the game with just 12 receptions for 74 yards, so this was his most impactful game in that facet. He now has 106 carries for 455 yards on the ground, heading into Week 16 against the Texans.
