Claiborne reportedly went low on his Wonderlic.(Getty Images)

Thanks to the ongoing Saints bounty scandal, the Tim Tebow trade and Peyton Manning moving locations this offseason, we haven't heard much bandied about regarding Wonderlic scores.

Until today, when, according to a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, we learn that Morris Claiborne scored a four on his Wonderlic.

That is not great, as the test is out of 50 points.

The last time we mentioned a Wonderlic test here, it was to discuss the reported seven that Terrelle Pryor scored before being taken by the Raiders in the Supplemental Draft.

Anything that's in single digits is not good. It's like going sub-1000 on the SAT. Or something. But it's also not the end of the world -- lots of talented NFL players have posted low Wonderlic scores and gone on to do quality things in the NFL.

My esteemed colleague Dan Marino reportedly scored a 16, but a) he clearly did well in the game of football and b) he's obviously quite smart.

Now, a 16 is different from a four. A four is very, very bad. But it doesn't mean that teams are going to get all freaked out about whether or not Claiborne can succeed on their roster. He still remains one of the few blue-chip athletes in this draft. He's just going to have to explain that score to someone.
