On Wednesday night, Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman will appear on the Discovery show American Muscle (Discovery Channel, Wednesdays, 9 p.m. ET), featuring gravel-throated trainer Mike Barwis meating out with "Average Joes" AND athletes.
While on the show, according to For the Win's Erik Brady, Sherman does what he does best: rip Michael Crabtree.
“It’s much more of just I don’t like the dude,” Sherman says. “You know what I’m saying. And I think he’s sorry. So it’s really what it comes down to."
Cornerbacks and wide receivers aren't always best friends. But the Sherman-Crab thing's really escalated over the past two years, culminating in Sherman deflecting a pass intended for Crabtree in the 2013 NFC Championship Game and sending the Seahawks to the Super Bowl.
Sherman, who gave an electric interview to Erin Andrews following that play, says he wants to "play [Crabtree] every year" and "choke him out."
“It’s just about him, it’s just about Crabtree,” Sherman says. “It’s not going to be something that goes away. I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to understand."
Just another reminder that Seahawks-49ers is the best-running rivalry we've got going these days.
