Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has had very high-profile dalliances with professional baseball. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers as an outfielder, has attended spring training and expressed interest in pulling a Deion Sanders and playing both sports at the pro level.

But did you know he also played basketball? Here's a highlight tape from Wilson's high school basketball days, and it's ... interesting.

This has got to be one of the the worst "highlight" tapes of all time. Let's go through each play, one by one.

1. Wilson gets announced as a starter and gives some high fives. OK, so this isn't actually a play, and it's probably pretty common to start highlight mixes this way. But there's no basketball skill involved here.

2. A layup in warm-ups. Lays it in with his left hand. Pretty good ambidexterity, but not all that impressive a thing to show in a highlight mix. Why is it even in there?

3. A steal, followed by a fast break pass that leads to a layup. Good! No we're getting somewhere. This shows that Wilson's a two-way player.

The start of a very unimpressive highlight tape. (YouTube)

4. An inbounds pass that just sets up the offense followed by a cut to the corner and another pass back to the top of the key. This is nonsense. Literally nothing happens on this play.

5. Wilson draws a charge and the tape rewinds to show it twice. Pretty good stuff, here. It shows Wilson is willing to sacrifice his body for the good of the team. So far, the two actual plays he makes would cast Wilson as a sort of low-rent Tony Allen type.

6. Here's a wide-open lefty layup. Good thing he practiced that one before the game.

And that's the whole tape. Oh, and these highlights are all from the same game. Let's just say we're not all that impressed.
