The Weather Channel fired back at Bill Belichick's meteorologist comments

In the week leading up to Sunday's Patriots-Broncos game, Bill Belichick was asked about the weather conditions in New England. He did not have nice things to say about the people who predict said weather.
"There was 100 percent chance of rain last week and the only water I saw was on the Gatorade table. You know, it is what it is. You know as well as I do, it could start one way and change during the game," Belichick said. "Be have to be ready for whatever it is, but my experience of going with the forecast in this area two days before the game, I mean I’d bet a lot that they’re wrong, just based on history because they’re almost always wrong."
Belichick added that "if I did my job the way they do theirs, I’d be here about a week."
I mean, he's right. Predicting the weather is hard and the people who try to do it screw things up all the time.
But that doesn't mean the meteorologists took the shots in a calm manner. Mike Bettes of the Weather Channel hopped on the television and fired right back at Belichick, specifically breaking down how close the channel was to predicting game-time temperatures.
The parting shot with the Weather Channel jacket is absolute gold. They need to figure out a way to get some sort of weather-related wager going over the rest of the season.
Belichick having to wear a Weather Channel jacket might only be topped by Bettes wearing a hoodie to do the forecast when his projection blows up in his face.
