The NHL has been helping raise awareness and money for Hockey Fights Cancer all month and it’s also Movember, which encourages men to grow mustaches to help raise awareness and money for men’s health issues. The Milwaukee Admirals, the Nashville Predators' American Hockey League affiliate, however, are going above and beyond to help raise awareness.  And since it's minor league hockey, it's going to be a little weird.

The team announced that vice president of business development Mike Wojciehowski will undergo a live prostate exam during the team’s game against the Rockford Ice Hogs Saturday night.

They also plan to show the entire thing on the team’s video board and plan to post video to the internet later.

There would appear to be some special camera angles they’re going to have to use for this.

So, best of luck to you, Mr. Wojciehowski. You are a brave soul, but it is indeed for a great cause. Men are not known for being quick to go to the doctor or to keep up with their health the way they should. On top of that, prostate exams don't sound like a whole lot of fun despite their life-saving potential.

If Wojciehowski can do it in front of a few thousand people and on a giant video board, perhaps it will inspire those a tad more reluctant to drop trou and get on with it.
