Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul left Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers and did not return after he was sandwiched between Jay Rosehill and Adam Hall along the boards.

Entering Thursday's game, Lupul had appeared in just nine games for the Maple Leafs this season due to injury and a suspension.
He missed several weeks after he suffered a broken arm early in the year when he was hit by a shot from one of his teammates. After returning from that injury, he received a two-game suspension for a hit to the head of Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman a couple of weeks ago.
There was no penalty called on the play, and I'm not entirely sure there should have been as it appears to be an awkward collision with an unfortunate result.
Here's another look at the play with a couple of more angles.
He has eight goals and five assists in nine games for the Maple Leafs this season.
