LOOK: Ducks, Jets warm up in throwback jerseys for Teemu Selanne
The Ducks and Jets had another special surprise for Teemu Selanne when they warmed up in special throwback jerseys in honor of the legend of both teams.

The Anaheim Ducks had already spent 90 minutes honoring one of the franchise’s greatest legends during Teem Selanne’s number retirement ceremony, but the team wasn’t stopping there. During warmups, as a special treat for both Selanne and the fans, I’m sure, the Ducks players each warmed up in the different jerseys Selanne wore throughout his 15 seasons with the club.
Not only did the Ducks dress for the occasion, but the Winnipeg Jets players actually warmed up in the old Jets uniforms that Selanne wore his first three seasons in the NHL with the club.
Every player also wore Selanne’s name and number on the back of the jerseys from his years with the teams. And yes, they even included the infamous “Wild Wing” jersey that is widely considered one of the ugliest things that has ever graced an NHL ice surface. Goaltender Frederik Andersen was one of the lucky guys to wear that one.
Here’s a look at some of the other jerseys in action.

For Winnipeg fans, this video of the Jets warming up in the great jerseys of the early 1990s has to be a sight for sore eyes.
What a cool gesture from both teams, and a fun trip down memory lane.
