WATCH: Canucks' Alex Burrows jumps into the wrong bench
Alex Burrows took a strange path to avoid getting hit by a puck on Friday night.
Alex Burrows is a member of the Vancouver Canucks, and has been for his entire 11-year career in the NHL.
For one brief moment on Friday night he decided to get a taste of what life would be like if he played for the St. Louis Blues.
Midway through the third period, Burrows was positioned along the wall in front of the Blues' bench and needed to jump out of the way of a dump-in from the neutral zone from his teammate, defenseman Chris Tanev. So he decided the best course of action would be to launch himself into the Blues' bench.

The funniest part of this has to be his attempt to stand back up and re-join the play, though I'm guessing Blues defenseman Joel Edmundson (No. 6) didn't find it anywhere near as funny since he's the one that was clubbed in the head by Burrows as he attempted to remove himself from the bench.
