The Oscars took place on Sunday night, and one actor showed his passion for soccer, in particularly for the club of his heart.

Viggo Mortensen, nominated for best actor for his role in “Captain Fantastic” and who you likely know from playing Aragorn in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, loves Argentine club San Lorenzo. He showed that during the night by showing the team’s logo time and time again.

Take a look.

Here’s the video.

He even showed it off when they announced his name during the nominations.

Now, this inevitably produces questions like “What in the world?” Or maybe it makes you think, “He has a connection to Argentine soccer?”

Yes, he does. Though he was born in New York, he lived all over. He moved to Venezuela, then Denmark and eventually settled in Argentina, where he lived till age 11. There, he fell in love with San Lorenzo, which is also the club supported by the Pope.

San Lorenzo is one of the most popular teams in Argentina and won the 2014 Copa Libertadores, equivalent to Europe’s Champions League.

He is one of the most famous supporters of the club, and his love for El Cuervo is obvious.
