Two titans of world soccer battle on Tuesday in the Champions League. Juventus welcomes Barcelona to northern Italy for the first leg of their quarterfinal tie. Here’s what to know.

What’s at stake: A first-leg lead in this quarterfinal showdown. Both Barca and Juve are two of the strongest contenders remaining, along with Real Madrid and Bayern, and this is a match that could go either way. Juventus is so strong defensively and can hold possession and leave opponents frustrated. With Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in attack, the visiting defense is going to have a busy night. Barca is looking to get at least a draw on the road with goals to head home to the Camp Nou with an advantage. 

Starting XI: 



Player to watch: Juventus striker Dybala. The young Argentine has the look of a future Ballon d’Or winner and has become a superstar in Turin. He’s like Messi in many ways, being able to create on his own, speedy and can finish with the best of them. He’s one who will have to play well for Juve to win. 

Suspension: News broke on Tuesday that Neymar had been suspended by La Liga for three matches, but he can play against Juventus on Tuesday in UCL as it only applies to La Liga contests.

Prediction: Juventus is so strong at home and is a contender to win the cup. Behind a fantastic performance from its defense and some dashing moments in attack, Juve gets a good result. Juventus 2, Barcelona 1.
