As Manchester City look to grind their way toward another Premier League title, Tottenham are battling to stay in the top-four race ahead of an intriguing clash at the Etihad Stadium. Antonio Conte's side have lost three in a row and are at risk of seeing Manchester United, West Ham and Arsenal pull away from them. Spurs' games in hands are worth far less when any opponent looks like a match for the struggling north Londoners.

They could scarcely have picked a worse moment to play City, unbeaten since December and fresh from a 5-0 win over Sporting that saw the likes of Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez continue their fine form. Pep Guardiola insists Spurs will be a tougher test for having struggled of late but it is one his players will be expected to comfortably overcome. Here is how you can watch the match and what you need to know:

Storylines

Manchester City: With both attack and defense clicking into gear for City in recent months, it takes a great deal to blow this team off course, but that is what happened on the way back from Lisbon when high winds forced the club plane to divert to Liverpool. "When I saw the video it was more scary than we felt. It was bumpy ... It was a moment we were going down and immediately the engine started to roll on and we go up," Guardiola said.

"In the moment, we said 'oh, something happened.' We had a pilot who did incredibly well to talk to us and he was so calm. We tried again to land in Manchester ... then landed in Liverpool. The pilot was magnificent because we felt really anxious but thanks to the way he talked to us, everyone was calm."

Meanwhile City will be without Jack Grealish, who continues to suffer with a shin issue, but with so many of their other attackers making convincing cases for regular minutes his absence will surely not be noticed.

Tottenham: Spurs' attempts to get back to winning ways were disrupted by an interview conducted by Conte with Sky Italia in which he seemed to express a dissatisfaction with the January transfer business of the club. Even though he rowed back on those comments in his pre-match press conference he has cut an unhappy figure in recent weeks and his mood will surely not be improved by a trip to the Etihad.

Three players are set to be unavailable for Spurs, including Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga, but the return of Eric Dier could offer more strength to a back three that could see him share the pitch with Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez. That central defensive trio have not been available to Conte since his second game in charge and might be able to bolster a backline that has not kept a clean sheet since Jan. 1.

Prediction

City are playing at such a high level that few teams could match them even in perfect form. Spurs are not one of those. Pick: Man City 3 Tottenham 1
