Messi edges Ronaldo for best selling soccer jersey; Barca tops kit sales

Who cracked the list for the top selling soccer jerseys in the world?

World Soccer Shop revealed the top selling jerseys from last year, based on the club and the player. And it's no surprise who topped out both lists. According to the sporting goods store, Lionel Messi's Barcelona kit is the top selling player/club jersey of 2015.

It's yet another list that has Messi edging out his Real Madrid rival for top honors. Messi's Barca kit is the top seller, with Cristiano Ronaldo in second. There were some surprising names to crack the list as well.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG)

Harry Kane (Tottenham)
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)
Luis Suarez (Barcelona)
Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich and Manchester United)
Memphis Depay (Manchester United)
Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

Hazard seems a little high on the list for my liking. Chelsea's best player certainly hasn't played liked it this year, and Coutinho at Liverpool has also had his fair share of struggles this campaign. My guess is that we saw a spike of Schweinsteiger and Depay Manchester United jerseys ordered when they both signed over the summer, because since then they have done next to nothing for the Red Devils.

And what about the top selling team jerseys? Barcelona tops the list yet again. But there is a club that cracked the list twice.
