What to Know

We're heading into Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage, and Salzburg will be playing Wolfsburg at 12:45 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Red Bull Arena. Salzburg won 2-1 against Lille three weeks ago. Wolfsburg is coming off of a 1-1 draw against Sevilla. Right now, Salzburg (four points) leads Group G, while Wolfsburg (two points) is in third place in the group. Recall that only the top two teams in the group will advance to the knockout phase.

A win for Salzburg would keep them securely in first. A win for Wolfsburg would guarantee them at least second place (depending on tie-breaking rules with Sevilla should they also win).
