UEFA has confirmed the half-time score of the Euro 2024 qualifier between Belgium and Sweden which was abandoned earlier this week as its result. European soccer's governing body has also clarified that no UEFA competition games will be played in Israel until further notice.

Belgium vs. Sweden was abandoned at halftime on Monday at the request and agreement of both sides after a terrorist attack killed two Swedish fans in Brussels. UEFA's Executive Committee has since decided that the Group F game will not be replayed with the 1-1 half-time score confirmed as final and one point awarded to each team.

Belgium remain qualified for Euro 2024 in Germany next summer while the point does not change Sweden's elimination from qualification contention. Any suspensions being served during the fixture are considered served while single yellow cards are still considered valid.

"To take the mentioned decision, the Executive Committee took note that it had proved impossible to play the remaining part of the match on the following day," stated UEFA. "Both the Royal Belgian Football Association and the Swedish Football Association, given the circumstances, explicitly expressed their desire not to play the remaining match time and to consider the result at the half-time interval (1-1) as final."

The game was halted and eventually abandoned at halftime with supporters sheltered in place at King Baudouin Stadium in the Belgian capital while a manhunt took place outside the stadium which resulted in the assailant being shot and killed hours later.

"The result of this match does not impact the qualification of Group F since Belgium is already mathematically qualified to the UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament (together with Austria) and Sweden is mathematically eliminated," UEFA added. "The respective fixtures do not allow any date to be used in the upcoming November international window, when the preliminary group stage of the competition must be concluded, to be followed by the play-off draw and final tournament draw."

The current safety and security situation in Israel and UEFA's evaluation of the territory has led the Executive Committee to rule that no UEFA competition games can be played in Israel for now. Until further notice, the Israel Football Association and Maccabi Haifa FC as well as Maccabi Tel-Aviv have been requested to propose alternative UEFA-approved stadiums outside of Israel for use.

UEFA has also confirmed the postponement of Villarreal CF vs. Maccabi Haifa from Thursday Oct. 26 until Wednesday Dec. 6 in Europa League Group F. Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Zorya Luhansk in UEFA Europa Conference League has also been pushed from Thursday Oct. 26 until Saturday Nov. 25.

Maccabi Haifa's youth team has also withdrawn its participation from the UEFA Youth League owing to the current situation. AC Sparta Praha's youth side is now qualified to the second round of the domestic champions path instead.
