WWE SmackDown results, recap, grades: Wyatt Sicks crash wild tag team title match on Bray Wyatt's birthday

WWE SmackDown's competitive tag team division just got scarier. The Wyatt Sicks crashed a barnburner WWE tag team title main event between Street Profits and Fraxiom. Friday's chaotic conclusion raises new questions about the Wyatt Sicks' intentions and the WWE tag team title picture.

The Wyatt Sicks had been absent for months. Their shock return suggests the WWE tag team titles are a top priority for the Bray Wyatt tribute group, led by "Uncle Howdy" Bo Dallas, Wyatt's younger brother. Their return also coincided with Wyatt's birthday where he would have turned 38. The company must also address where Wyatt Sicks stands with Alexa Bliss, Wyatt's former ally who's also on SmackDown.

SmackDown also featured multiple Money in the Bank qualifying matches, growing tensions between Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo, and R-Truth's mission statement before his Saturday Night's Main Event match with John Cena.

CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

Wyatt Sicks, Fraxiom continue heating up SmackDown's tag division

WWE Tag Team Championships -- Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) (c) vs. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) ends in a no-contest after interference from the Wyatt Sicks. Fraxiom's dive train was a show stealer, and the speed with which Frazer runs the ropes is jaw-dropping. He seriously gives Bron Breakker a run for his money. Street Profits toned down their offense a little to let the smaller team shine, but looked like champions. Fraxiom had three late bursts: snatching simultaneous submission attempts on both opponents, hitting Ford with a super kick and brainbuster, and landing a Spanish fly-Phoenix splash combo.

Chaos ensued when #DIY and Motor City Machine Guns started brawling on the outside. Ford took out the interfering parties with a marvelous dive over the corner post. The Street Profits were poised to put away Frazer, but then the lights cut out. When the lights turned on, the Wyatt Sicks were in the ring. The group, which had been absent for months, took out SmackDown's entire tag team division.

Fraxiom is a welcome addition to SmackDown's tag team division, driving further distance between the blue brand and its sister show. Keeping the titles on the Street Profits was a good call, but Fraxiom is immediately positioned as an upper-tier team. A fantastic match and a curious return put SmackDown's tag team division fully at the forefront. Grade: B+

  • Alexa Bliss continued playing mind games with Flair.
  • Tommaso Ciampa def. Chris Sabin via pinfall after an assist from Candice LeRae, Johnny Gargano's wife.
  • B-Fab and Michin def. The Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre and Piper Niven) via pinfall after B-Fab hit Fyre with a neckbreaker. Vega assisted the winning team, balancing out Chelsea Green's presence ringside.
  • The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo) def. Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix via pinfall after Mateo slammed Uso with a Tour of the Islands. Solo Sikoa's distraction set up the finish. Fatu's distrust of Mateo was a primary driver in the match.

  • Money in the Bank Qualifying Match -- LA Knight def. Aleister Black and Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall by stealing the pin. Knight threw Black over the ropes and pinned Nakamura after the latter ate Black Mass.
  • Fatu was granted a Money in the Bank qualifying match, despite Sikoa already qualifying.
